PLANT OUT SWEETCORN
Sweetcorn plants grown from seed a month ago can be planted out into the garden when the weather is suitable. This is usually from around the middle of the month, but it really depends on the temperatures and what part of the country you live in. Where I live in North Yorkshire, it tends to be towards the end of the month, but in the south it can be a few weeks earlier. The advantage of growing this way, rather than sowing directly into the soil, is it gives the plants a longer growing season. When planting, choose a sunny position and grow in blocks to aid wind pollination.
