LEAGUE ONE ROUND-UP
GOOLE VIKINGS have signed former Hull FC forward Nick Staveley on an initial one-month loan deal.
The 21-year-old links up with Scott Taylor’s side from Championship team Sheffield, who he joined in March on a contract until the end of 2026.
Staveley hasn’t played a first-team game since rupturing an anterior cruciate ligament in training in March 2024 after starting the season playing regularly for Hull FC in Super League.
After leaving the Black and Whites earlier this year, the secondrow had a brief trial spell at Castleford, but was unable to train due to still recovering from his injury.
Goole made a move for Staveley prior to him joining Sheffield.
He said: "I’m grateful for this opportunity. I’ve worked hard to get back to full fitness and now just want minutes under my belt.
"I know Goole, I spent a little bit of time with them earlier this year, and I’ve played with a lot of the lads before.
