LEIGH wrapped up third spot in Super League with a six-try success over Huddersfield, but the hosts had to work hard to eventually shake off their visitors.
A committed first half from Huddersfield kept things close at half-time in their final regular Super League game of the season.
The Leopards were quickly on the board after a set restart when Ben McNamara fed the ball right and Lachlan Lam combined with Gareth O’Brien to get AJ Towse over in the corner.
More pressure headed the Giants’ way when debutant Lewis Jagger half-split the line but lost the ball. Fortunately for Huddersfield, Josh Charnley then spilled an offload from Tesi Nui.
