Les Pounder works for Tom’s Hardware UK writing about the Pi and goodly Linux things.
So the Raspberry Pi 4 now has an 8GB model. It was supposed to be a birthday surprise this year, but it was delayed by the Coronavirus pandemic. This new release also saw the 2GB model drop in price to $35, and that made the 1GB model pretty much redundant for consumers and it’s no longer being offered for general sale. The 1GB model is still available for industry use, but if you can get the double the RAM for the same money, then it’s no surprise that consumers from all aspects of the community are jumping at the opportunity to purchase a Pi with a better spec.
