The Best Gay Blogs
Posted 03 August 2016   |   0 views
We want to share with you some of the best gay blogs from around the internet. These gay bloggers and news sites cover a range of LGBT topics, from how to organise the best same-sex marriage, to how to cope with the challenges of being homosexual in the modern world.
Check them out!
Pink Wedding Days
Pink Wedding Days have been helping gay and lesbian couples plan their big day since 2005, putting them in touch with gay-friendly wedding venues and service providers across the UK.
Pink Wedding Days have been helping gay and lesbian couples plan their big day since 2005, putting them in touch with gay-friendly wedding venues and service providers across the UK.
Their blog is an extraordinary resource for everything you need to know about same-sex marriage, with over 200 articles (and counting) on a range of topics, from the top honeymoon destinations to in depth pieces on equality legislation.
The blog’s been running since 2010, so it’s acted as a running commentary on the recent massive victories for marriage equality across the world,
including on the Pacific island of Pitcairns,
, where they legalised same-sex marriage despite having a population of 48 heterosexuals!

What Wegan Did Next
Megan Evans and Whitney Bacon are Wegan – a femme lesbian couple who conquered long distance to become official civil partners here in the UK back in 2014. Their blog documents the ups and down of living as a feminine lesbian couple in 21st century Britain.
They’re both pretty accomplished ladies in their own right. Megan has a Master’s in Equality & Diversity and was awarded Lesbian Role Model of the Year in the 2014 Ultimate Planet Awards. Meanwhile, Whitney’s Huffington Post blog on coming out in the South (she’s American) has been shared over 90 thousand times.
Their latest venture is a dating site called Find Femmes which helps single feminine lesbians find love in their area. It’s doing pretty well with sites across six countries, including the UK, USA and Australia.

Fagburn
Fagburn is a blog about gay men, the media, politics and LGBT culture that was nominated by Stonewall for Publication Of The Year in the 2013. It’s run by Richard Smith, who styles himself as “Britain's leading homosexual libertarian communist absurdist thinker”.
Running since 2010, Richard is a prolific writer with near on 9,000 posts on Fagburn alone. Firmly anti-establishment and extremely critical, his posts range from calling out mainstream media on their cis-centric coverage of the LGBT, to scathing criticism of government policies.
But it’s
TheGayUK

Pink Therapy Blog
Pink Therapy is the UK's largest independent therapy organisation working with gender and sexual diversity clients.
Running since 2013, the Pink Therapy blog is a source for discussion on the difficulties LGBT people face with modern psychotherapy. They seriously challenge the establishment, with one blog criticising the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy getting 1000s of shares.
This blog is absolutely essential reading for anyone interested in the complexities of human sexuality – who knows, you might even find out something interesting about yourself in the process.

Effi Mai
Effi Mai is a twenty-something lifestyle blogger living it up in The Big Smoke. If you’re into heels, playlists, TopShop, shots, socks, polka dots and/or stripy frilly bras then her ecclectic blog over at effimai.me is probably right up your street.
Featuring an eclectic mix of style, beauty, random musings and culture reviews, Effi ads her inimitably British wit and sarcasm to everything she writes.
Her job as a PR and events coordinator for London clubs offers her some fascinating insight into London nightlife. Check out this cutting but oh so accurate piece on all the different kinds of annoying people you’ll meet at bars.
