Making Cards & Papercraft Magazine Xmas Edition 2015 Back Issue

English
121 Reviews   •  English   •   Hobbies & Crafts (Arts & Crafts)
A very special welcome, as this edition, your Christmas Edition, is the very first thirteenth issue! As from now we will be producing thirteen issues a year meaning MORE from your favourite contributors, MORE fantastic projects, MORE amazing prizes to be won and MORE great free craft papers!

This issue is our first full on Christmas edition. Every project is a Christmas card you will love, both to make and to give. Emma Williams has used the very popular Bird Crazy stamps by Tim Holtz for Sizzix and given them a Christmas twist. She has also contributed a card that I know will be appreciated by those of you who favour the more traditional Christmas themes, a pop-up sliding easel (I know right!!!) featuring a fabulous Three Kings stamp by Penny Black.

There is lots to learn in this edition; Faye Wynn-Jones shares her tips on how to use an airbrush to create perfect backgrounds, Tracy Evans shows us how to best use a Gelli plate, Isha Gupta mixes ink with salt for
fantastic effect and new contributor Pam DeChellis (welcome Pam!) uses Buffalo Snow, a first for Making Cards, to create dimension on her terrific cards.

Elsewhere Joanna Sheen uses one of her favourite collections: Thomas Kinkade to create a beautiful set of Christmas cards (page 14), Deb Steele’s design is our fantastic Handpicked card and don’t forget to check out New to You (page 6) to find out about all the latest releases from your favourite brands!

I'd like to see a bigger variety of papers. Love what you do, but very similar often. Soft florals, cute critters etc, would be lovely. Reviewed 20 February 2020
