IN THE LAST TWO ISSUES we have been showing you the tools of the sleeving trade, and how you can sleeve your own custom power-supply cables. And with this new-found knowledge you should be able to create a set of cables or extensions, as long as they don’t have any “Y” cables involved in them at all. Y cables are most commonly found on the 24-pin ATX motherboard power cable, and can be a little bit trickier, but once you know how to do them, you can have that perfectly sleeved PSU that you absolutely deserve.
This is gluttony when it comes to building your own system, and it can take time and patience to get the job done right, but once it’s done, you’ll truly have a bespoke system that’s unique to you. Whether you’re big into air cooling or liquid cooling, jazzing up the cables like this really brings a build to life and gives it a personalized feel. So let’s get started.
