PREPPING YOUR FRESH PC
Follow these steps to make sure your PC is running up to speed
TO HELP YOU GET the most out of your fancy new computer, there are a few things you can do. Unfortunately, building a PC isn’t quite the same as buying a smartphone, for example, where pretty much everything is all set up and ready for you to start. Before you can start powering through Halo Infinite on Legendary, we need to sort out the latest updates, drivers, settings, and more. Sure, we could dive straight in and start running games, but we’re on a budget and with all of the resources here, it would be a shame if they weren’t being maximized.
1 UPDATE YOUR SHIP
ONCE YOU’RE DONE building your machine and you’ve established a stable internet connection, you can start off by updating your system. This is an easy way of ensuring that your PC is fully optimized and running the latest stable version of Windows. To do so, head over to the start menu, then settings. On the left-hand side at the bottom, you’ll find Windows Update. Click here and hit the check now button to find the latest updates. Download these then install them and restart your PC. Additionally, you can find optional updates in the advanced options menu on the Windows Update page.
