Washington DC djent mavens undergo a bold visual makeover

THE LAST TIME Periphery headlined in the UK, it was a showcase as barebones as a compound fracture. The Washington DC djent darlings topped the bill of Manchester’s Radar festival last July, but didn’t bring the pomp you’d expect for such a spot –not even their own backdrop. As a sold-out crowd huddle in the Roundhouse and see a stage where light tubes rise up and out from the drum kit, though, it looks like tonight will be anything but stripped back.
