Tyrell Models

David Grummitt

Tyrell Models have been bringing in some high-quality modelling tools to the UK for a couple of years now, and those made by Shanghai-based Dspaie have a well-earned reputation for innovation and quality. The ‘Illusive Shadow’ Reciprocating Sander is an electric sanding pen that offers precise e sanding for the most demanding of modelling projects. Its innovativeive design harnesses the power of a reciprocating sanding motion, offering three selectable speeds – 2800, 3100 and 3600 – to cater to the diversee needs of model makers. I can see that this will be  especially useful for Gunpla model and car modellers, wheree precision of fit and ultra-smooth finishes, are an  ntegral part of the art. Equally, anyone who has tried to sand smooth the inside of a circular joint or cupola ring will find  this tool the answer to their prayers. rs. The box   ontains the reciprocating sanding tool, a USB-B charger, selfadhesive sandpaper and eight differentshaped interchangeable precision sanding heads. All this is packaged   nd presented with the usual Dspaie quality. If you find yourself fiddling with tiny files or dodgy sanding sticks,  this may well be the solution for you! If precise colours and ratios when mixing paints matter to o you or you are mindful of the amount of  paint wasted when tackling small subjects,  you might be interested in the modeller’s Micro Pipette. This is the ultimate tool for precise liquid  andling in scale modelling. Designed with meticulous attention to detail, this pipette sets a new standard  for accuracy and efficiency in your  creative process. With a   aximum  capacity of 200ul (microlitres), this  pipette empowers you to easily  handle even the tiniest quantities of  paint or other liquids. The complete package includes a box of 96 pipette tips. On the Tyrell Models website, you’ll find video tutorials on this and the Reciprocating Sander. On a different scale of painting, is the Modeller’s Spray Paint Hande. This is a very simple yet effective solution for modellers who use rattle cans to prime or lay down base colours for their models. Designed with accuracy in mind, this spray paint handle ensures every stroke is perfectly placed, giving you unparalleled control over your paint application. No more overspray or uneven coverage, just flawless results every time. Our thanks to David Howell at Tyrell Models for the review samples and product information (ww.tyrellmodels.co.uk).
