The other giant among Ukrainian model manufacturers is, of course, ICM. They too have maintained a steady stream of releases during the war and have some superb new kits this month. The Crew of ‘Stugna P’ Anti-Tank Complex (ref. 35750) is the first in their ‘Brave Ukraine’ series of kits commemorating the heroic efforts of the Armed Forces of Ukrainian against Russian aggression. The kit shows a three-man UAF crew preparing a Stugna-P ATGM for firing. The missile and launcher are included, as is a remotecontrol firing unit. This is bound to be a popular kit and judging from the quality of ICM’s recent figure kits, it’s going to be a winner. s.E.Pkw. Kfz. 70 with Zwillingssockel 36 (ref. 35503) is new kit based on the Kfz. 70, first released in 2012. The s.E.Pkw Kfz.70 was based on the Horch 108 Typ 40. It was equipped with the Zwillingssockel 36 anti-aircraft machine gun mounting two 7.92mm MG 34 machine guns. It could engage air targets or act as a fire support vehicle, with a range of up to 2000 metres. This is a welcome addition to the ranks of early-war German softskins. ICM also have a range of versatile and good value acrylic paints and two new sets are released this month. WWI US Infantry (ref. 3024) contains five paints and one varnish designed to paint ICM’s range of World War I US figures. Armed Forces of Ukraine: Pixel Camouflage Uniform (ref. 3025) similarly contains five colours and a matt varnish and is ideal for painting the many Ukrainian-themed kits that are now appearing on the market. Our thanks to ICM for the product information (www.icm.com.ua). Their kits and paints are also available from good model shops.
