2. This view from Salcombe Hill is taken from a second issue copy of Edmund Butcher’s Sidmouth Scenery…, one thought to have been issued in 1819, two years after it’s first appearance, but containing an additional couple of plates. A subscriber’s copy, it sold for £800 in South Cerney.
