FACEBOOK AXES ‘BIASED’ FACT-CHECKERS
Facebook has stopped using teams of fact-checkers in the US to check the accuracy of posts after claiming they were biased. It will instead rely on users reporting misinformation. Meta, which owns Facebook, said this will “allow more speech by lifting restrictions on some topics that are part of mainstream discourse”.
