Have more natural voice conversations
OpenAI has replaced ChatGPT’s Standard and Advanced Voice Modes with ChatGPT Voice. This lets you engage in even more natural conversations with the chatbot, like you’re talking to a real person.
ChatGPT Voice offers more emotional nuance, realistic pauses and emphasis, and a choice of nine voice characters, such as ‘Easygoing and versatile’. These differ from the new personality types we wrote about in Issue 717 (page 6), which are limited to text chats. As before, to switch to voice mode, click or tap the ‘Use voice mode’ button in the search box (see screenshot below).
