Regular readers of DHMS will remember that last year we ran a series of projects by Sadie Brown of Homeward Flight. She took us on a journey on the development of sweets through the ages and finished by walking us through the door of the most adorable sweet shop.

It was a feature that was so popular I asked Sadie if she could again model more miniature foods, this time junk food! We start the series with something that’s ever so traditional and a dish that I occasionally have on a Friday night, fish and chips. Using Fimo Sadie will show you how to form individual chips, pieces of fish, sausage, pie and mushy peas! And over the next six months Sadie will present fried chicken, Chinese, Indian and burgers. (I’ve seen the work in progress and you really do have to see it to believe it.)

Feature wise, roving reporter Moi Ali is back in Los Angeles finding out more from celebrity architect Richard Manion and she’s also interviewed miniature artisan Aidan Campbell.

Besides the above we’ve included a selection of weekend projects, not to mention a follow up feature on the culmination of Kevin Jackson’s Tudor tutorial, Martin Pearce’s voyage through time documenting Kitchen’s through the Ages and Erin Norman’s feature on miniature parks in Israel.
