■ IHAVE ALWAYS USED FOUND and donated textiles from a variety of sources in my practice. During the pandemic, I became increasingly dependent on my ‘stash’ and other collected items in my studio. Many people commented at the time that I must have loved the lockdown as I was an artist. Actually, the reverse was true. I found it a scary and uncertain time, as all of my teaching was cancelled and postponed, and we hadn’t yet made the leap to online courses. During lockdowns, I began making work from existing pieces, slowly adding to them.
