HE might have been nicknamed ‘Mad Dog’ as a player, but Brian Juliff insists there’s nothing crazy about his belief that Wales can come through the group stages of the World Cup for the first time since his old international teammate Clive Griffiths took them to the semi-finals in 2000.
The 69-year-old former Wakefield, Wigan and Halifax star has been chair of the country’s Rugby League governing body for the last ten years and he is working closely with coach John Kear, appointed eight years ago, to ensure that the Dragons are as well prepared as possible.
