We’ve seen so many file managers that it’s tempting to think that there’s nothing more to explore in this area. Our opinions were quickly changed when we saw System G in action.
The program breathes new life to classic file explorers, however it was designed not after Dolphin, Nautilus or Thunar, as you might first think, but rather after the historic Macintosh System 7 file finder. The idea is to bring ease of use and GUI clarity back to modern Linux by providing a well-thought-out tree-style file manager that enables seamless workflows.
