Charities and other bodies are trying to assess the impact of COVID-19 on the wellbeing of individuals across the UK. One study by the Centre for Mental Health is asking people to write accounts of their own experiences of lockdown to help them form a fuller picture of the impact of the pandemic. Chief executive Sarah Hughes said, “The global coronavirus pandemic is not just a physical health emergency: it also has significant impacts on our mental health. We want people to tell us in their own words how their mental health and wellbeing has been affected by COVID-19 and other events this year.” The ‘A Year In Our Lives’ project is accepting submissions until January 2021 (centreformentalhealth.org.uk).
