Model Boats Magazine Winter Special 2015 Vorige editie

English
174 Beoordelingen   •  English   •   Hobbies & Crafts (Scale Modelling)
Only €6,99
"This 100 page Model Boats Winter 2015 Special Issue includes a new CAD Feature Plan for Fleetfoot, a 1/8th scale fast runabout together with comprehensive pictorial building instructions, all by John Parker. In addition there is a kit review by Ivor Warne for the Mountfleet Models Cruiser tug, a traditional steam powered tug that has been updated since the recent change of ownership of Mountfleet Models and there is emphasis on the additional practical features included in this fantastic r/c model.
Andy Cope has a rather nice piece on his simple, easy to build and fully functioning hovercraft, and Craig Dickson of the British Model Powerboat Racing Society has a fully illustrated in-depth feature to build an inexpensive offshore style model powerboat for competitive use in this type of racing. Indeed, this boat has already won some races in 2015, so you can't get much better than that.
This 100 page issue has for its second thread, the theme of 'Improving your Modelling Skills' and for this there are articles by Ron Rees on how to make bespoke figures for your model boats; the art of soldering by Dave Wooley, and Richard Simpson has a guide to buying a steam plant from UK based suppliers for your latest model. Richard is demonstrating that 'steam', which has a fascination of its own, need not be expensive and that there is nothing mysterious about it.
I hope in this Special 100 Page Special issue that there is something for everyone who has a passion for radio control scale model boating and please don't forget to visit our website and participate in our Model Boats forum which is managed by Colin Bishop. Model Boats is also on Twitter and Facebook for those readers who like to use other social media.

Excellent magazine Beoordeeld op 27 oktober 2020

Model Boats

I started reading Model Boats in 1963, the whole scene has changed dramatically in those intervening years and sadly it seems that it is mostly older people who read the mag and keep the hobby alive, I have returned to the hobby after nearly 30 years away, the guidance offered in the magazine is most helpful Beoordeeld op 30 maart 2020

Model Boats

What can I say? By far the best modelling magazine ever. I started with Model Maker April 1956! Beoordeeld op 13 februari 2020
