A flock of Rotarians were positioned in Oban’s Gibraltar Street selling ducks last Friday.
With the help of a large semi-circular table courtesy of Argyll and Bute Council, the Rotary Club of Oban members were selling the yellow toys for their annual duck race fundraiser. ‘It’s been absolutely fantastic,’ said Roy Rutherford. ‘Everyone has been very generous and it’s another wonderful day in Oban.’ The race involves dumping 500 small plastic ducks into the Black Lynn at Combie Street bridge, which will then make their way to Lochnell Peir.
