Maree Todd, left, and Kate Forbes with the donations.
Two Highland MSPs have thanked the public after an overwhelming amount of food bank items came into their constituency office. Following a recent appeal to help stock up supplies at the Highland Food Bank, Kate Forbes MSP and Maree Todd MSP made their Dingwall office a drop-off point for donations.
Earlier in the summer it was reported stores of emergency food parcels for the Highlands were at their lowest levels for a decade. Ms Forbes said: ‘I remain alarmed at the number of children receiving food parcels from the food bank is up more than 50 per cent on last year. But we are grateful for the likes of Blythswood Care which is making a huge difference in so many lives.’
