Sunder
Australian keyboard wizard gets his shred on.
Just as Derek Sherinian’s solo albums prove that a great keyboard player can duke it out with the finest rock guitarists, Rohan Sharma stakes out a place for synths in the guitar-dominated worlds of prog metal and djent. Sunder is an album of pummelling grooves, adrenaline-raising tempos, and exuberant chops. The closest point of comparison is Liquid Tension Experiment, although the drums here are programmed rather than played.
