The Leicester Writes Short Story Prize 2018 is open for entries.
The competition, which is for short stories up to 3,000 words, is run by small press Dahlia Publishing as part of the Leicester Writes Literature Development programme, and is intended to encourage new writing. The prizes are £100 and £50, and the top three winners will each receive a bundle of books. Up to twenty stories will be published in an anthology.
To enter, send original, unpublished short fiction. Entrants must complete an online entry form. Your name must not appear on the manuscript. All entries should be submitted by email as Word attachments with the subject line Leicester Writes Short Story Competition 2018. Include your name, contact details and the title of the entry in the body of the submission email. The entry fee is £7 (£3 for Leicestershire residents), payable by PayPal. The closing date is 2 April
