Carousel is a Canadian literary/ arts magazine representing new and established artists across many genres and disciplines. Submissions are open each year between 1 July and 9 January. According to the editors the best times to submit are ‘mid-August or mid-December.’
Submit one story, up to 3,000 words, not genre, or 3-7 poems, including ‘traditional, formal, experimental and concrete’. Submit all the poems in a single file, but use a separate page for each poem. Doc and pdf files are accepted, but rtf is preferred. However, electronic submissions require a fee unless you are a subscriber. Postal submissions do not, but include an email address for a response.
