Dawnfresh took the Venture Scotland group on a tour of Loch Etive.
A group of young people enjoyed a tour of Loch Etive with fish farm company Dawnfresh. The group was enjoying a five-day camping adventure at Glen Etive, organised by Venture Scotland. Dawnfresh invited the youngsters to its fish farm and explored the loch by boat which allowed them to view fish pens and learn about work on the site. Venture Scotland aims to give young people aged 16 to 30 the chance to learn skills, improve their lives and get into work. The scheme helps young people build their self-confidence in a supportive outdoor environment. Martin Collins, site manager at Dawnfresh, who led the tour, said: ‘We took the group out on our boat and explained the work we do on the loch. ‘Activities like this are rewarding as it gives us the chance to share our knowledge with young people who are keen to learn. ‘We really enjoyed taking the group on a tour of the site. ‘The work Venture Scotland does gives young people the chance to develop new skills while experiencing the outdoors which we at Dawnfresh believe is important.’
