Performers, including a piper from New Zealand for the first time, are signing up for this year’s Highlands and Islands Music and Dance Festival.
Musicians and dancers have until Monday, March 11, to get their entries in for the May bank holiday festival that attracts more than 3,000 visitors to Oban.
This will be the festival’s 36th year, bringing a welcome boost to the town’s economy from May 3 to 5. Owing to the huge numbers growing in the dancing competitions, the town will be hosting a pre-premier competition on Saturday March 30 at Atlantis Leisure Centre.
