OUTBACK Magazine  |  OUTBACK 102
The 102nd issue of R.M.Williams OUTBACK provides some inspiring reading for the rest of our chilly winter. The magazine does include an article about skiing in some of the amazing snow dumped in four states but it’s about much more than that, including the challenges and benefits of aviation in the bush. Where would be without the Royal Flying Doctor Service, mustering by air and government-subsidised flights to our remote places? There’s no doubt the pattern of Australian population would be very different. There’s also a story about a revival in cotton, an industry that had bad press in the past, but which is now experiencing somewhat of a clean, green rebirth. Features on the West MacDonnell Ranges in the Northern Territory and the Murchison region of Western Australia may provide the impetus for your future travels. There are always our usual favourites of dogs, bush kids and bush weddings and even some great country cakes.
