Patchwork and Quilting  |  June 2015
So what have we put together for you this month? Some really lovely projects for starters! By popular demand we have the Building Blocks Sampler quilt, which will run over several issues as we make four simple blocks each month. The quilt also uses modern fabrics to give it a more contemporary look. We have a bit of an elephant theme going with the Mother & Baby Elephant Wall Hanging, as well as a feature on how quilts give comfort to baby elephants in Quilts for the Elephant Nursery. If you prefer making small quilts we have the Mini Pinwheels miniature quilt by Katharine Guerrier, as well as the Floral Primaries, very stylish journal quilts. We’ve not long returned from Uttoxeter and the Quilt and Stitch Village Show and I hope you like the Quilt Gallery featuring quilts from the show, we also visit the Patchwork Festival in the Spanish city of Sitges. Finally, we take a tour round the Quilt Museum and Gallery in the latest part in our series about the many facets of the Quilters’ Guild.
