Patchwork and Quilting | June 2016
This month we have a great mix of projects for you, large and small. Our cover quilt, Giggleswick Cottage Quilt, uses a technique called broderie perse and has been designed by Di Ford-Hall for Makower. Another project to combine appliqué and piecing is I Love Sewing, a must-make for every quilter’s sewing room! Rainbow Flutterbys is a wonderfully bright scrap-busting quilt; everyone loves a scrap-buster to make a dent in that stash don’t they! The Stripey Spring Bag is a smart stylish bag, which incorporates several bag making techniques while Little Boats on the Beach is a delightful appliqué picture. We also start a new Mystery Quilt, which will run over the next four issues, the mystery being you don’t know what the quilt looks like until you reach the final part! Also we have just recovered from this year’s Quilt & Stitch Village Show at Uttoxeter, and what a show it was! We bring you our favourites and the highlights.
