Patchwork and Quilting  |  September 2015
It may seem a little crazy but we have a couple of Christmas projects for you! It is never too early to start preparations for the holiday season, particularly if it is a handmade one and also if you want to make something using one of the new Christmas collections which have often sold out by the time Christmas comes around. So we have the stylish Scandi Table Runners featuring Makower’s Scandi II fabrics and the Little Christmas Star Bag featuring the A Little Christmas Star collection from Lewis & Irene to get you started. The traditional schoolhouse block is given a vintage feel using the Dutch Heritage fabrics in the Dutch Schoolhouse quilt, while Picture Perfect is an ideal quilt for ‘framing’ those pictorial fabrics you don’t like to cut up. If you are after something a bit more complex, the Kaleidocurve Cushion is for you or if you are a more traditional quilter, you might like to make the Spools Quilt. Finally, we play around with the decorative stitches on your sewing machine in the Heart Song block.
