SHOOT THE SKY

Use professional techniques to capture the sky in style with maximum detail

UNDERLINE SHAPES Take advantage of the natural colours as the sun is rising or setting to highlight your main subject in a different way

When you’re shooting low-light landscape scenes, the sky is an important component in the composition of a balanced photo. By emphasising certain elements, such as stars or the moon, you add an extra touch to your image. It may sound paradoxical to talk about using filters, since filters are usually associated with reducing the amount of light that reaches the sensor, but when you’re shooting with long exposure times, this is no longer quite so important.
