Looking for smaller boas?
John Courtney-Smith, MRSB.
Rosy boa - popular partly on grounds of its smaller size.
Please advise on smaller boas that we could keep, as we don’t have much space available.
I have been specialising in smaller boas for a while now and I find them to be a perfect choice in the home. Not only are the rosy and sand boas small in size, but they are not demanding in husbandry terms, and can even potentially be kept in small groups. Some sand boas are notorious for a disinclination to feed though, proving a cause of worry. They are opportune feeders in the wild and tending to be ambush predators.
