Wild Swimming
Cool down by taking a dip with a twist this summer. According to Daniel Start, author of best-selling guide Wild Swimming: “Swimming outdoors in natural waters has a large number of health benefits. Jumping into cooler water releases endorphins, creating a natural high and elation, while also lowering cortisol, which is important for relaxing and de-stressing. Medical tests have shown that the immune system is strengthened by regular dips, reducing the chances of colds and flu, while also boosting wellbeing and libido. Swimming in nature also creates a whole body immersive experience, helping to clear the mind.”
