DEREK MCCORMACK LOVES THE THOUGHT of producing merchandise as much as he does seeing his books out in the world. It dovetails nicely with his eBay addiction. He uses the resale website as a platform to source “research materials” for his writing. “What I mean by that is it’s an excuse to load up on crap from the time period or the milieu that I’m writing about,” says McCormack.
