SINGLE LINES
■ THE Lynton & Barnstaple Railway’s (L&BR) re-created carriage No. 7 left Woody Bay station on July 29, arriving at the L&BR’s Essex woodworking shop the following day. The carriage has suffered from water ingress during its 24 years of exposure to Exmoor weather, and part of the sole bar needs replacement, requiring lifting the body off its steel underframe. While at the workshop, correct sliding partitions, not fitted when the vehicle was built, will be installed.
