I’ve
recently had cause to reflect upon one of my favourite classic games of all time, while playing a brand-new game that shares some common elements. To wit: two games separated by 37 years, but linked by a title; Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, and… well, Valhalla, the classic ZX Spectrum graphic adventure, released in 1983 by the long-forgotten Legend. On the surface, they don’t appear to have a great deal in common, beyond the Vikingflecked setting, and appearances from a grab-bag of Norse gods.
