Of all the fighting games that Capcom has produced, we reckon that when it comes to gameplay, the second of its clashes against cross-town rivals SNK is the undisputed champion. At the most basic level, you’ve got a fighting model refined over years and a massive roster of 48 characters. There’s the return to six-button play after the original used just four, and the Ratio system from the first game has been revised – rather than each character having a fixed strength, the game allows you to split four points between up to three team members.
