Meet an indie dyer and indulge in a design with their skeins
Marcin Lorkowski takes his yarn dyeing very seriously. “Initially, I even used scientific devices to monitor pH, temperature and time,” he says. “Every single skein is therefore dyed by me. I can’t mentally let someone else dye yarn for me!”
His intense scientific approach comes to him naturally – before starting Martin’s Lab, Marcin worked at a university as a scientist, and he has a PhD in molecular dynamics. “The world of science was fascinating, but the world of yarn seemed friendlier and more colourful,” he says.
