A tetradic scheme is another variation on the complementary effect and involves using a pair of complementary colours that are evenly spaced out on the colour wheel.
On the rotating scheme selector at the centre of your wheel, locate the square shape and the words ‘Tetradic Square’. Point this corner of the square at a colour you know you like, then follow the lines of the square to the other three colours at the other corners of the square – these three are the colours your wheel suggests putting with the original colour. You can expect to see a visually pleasing combination of complementary and contrasting colours from across the colour wheel. Give it a try!
