DON’T PUT THIS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST
There was an article in Singletrack a few years back that comprised a load of small interviews asking some familiar faces – and some more obscure ones – their opinions on what we, as mountain bikers, should all do at least once.
Some of it was regular everyman stuff – ride up a big hill at sunrise, go for a night ride then stop and turn your lights off – that kind of thing. Some of it was a bit trickier, such as build your own wheels, build your own frame or clean out the shed.
One of the items on this ultimate bucket list of mustdos for the righteous (or self-righteous, depending on your interpretation of the article) mountain biker was ‘organise your own event’. Apparently, everyone should aim to do this at least once in their lifetime, in some sort of ultimate act of Giving Something Back.
