They say that it takes 10,000 hours of practice to master a skill. If you’re lucky, or dedicated, and you spend every spare evening and every weekend perfecting your art, or your instrument, or your knowledge of a subject, you’ll eventually get to master that subject.
If you start as a young teenager, you could have that skill mastered by the time you leave college. If you’re less dedicated, or start later, it might take you many years to get to that mastery dialled in. But put those hours in and you’ll get there. That’s the promise.
