6 NEW CARS 2024
Here we take a look at some of the exciting stuff
coming our way during 2024 and beyond. What
is not covered here will spill over into the next
issue that will also contain a report from this year’s
Nuremburg Toy Fair.
12 COLLECTING FEATURE
The Best of British? We investigate the majority of
the British West Midlands based car manufacturers
who amalgamated in various guises, as seen by the
slot car companies over the years.
20 THE BATMAN
Is it a modified Dodge Charger or a Plymouth
‘Cuda? We take a look at the Scalextric version of
the latest Batmobile to grace the silver screen and
find out it’s neither.
24 WORKSHOP
Can we turn a Policar into an Indy car? Well, we
gave it a damn good try! Here is a build on this rather
complicated project!
30 NSR FORMULA 22
Just a quick look at the latest liveries applied to
NSR’s generic F1 models. And there’s more to
come for 2024.
32 TIPS FOR SLOT RACERS
American Curt DeMars took a clean sweep in all
three classes at the 2023 East Coast NSR Nationals.
Here he shares some tips and practices that are
currently popular with the club racers over the pond.
34 HOLDEN COMMODORE
We review the newly released Aussie touring car
from Scalextric. Even if this version actually raced in
Belgium - we explain!
36 WORKSHOP
Regular contributor Mark Hatton presents us with
his latest NSR F86/89 conversion and re-livery, the
Toleman RG184 team from 1984.
40 SCALEXTRIC JAGUARS
Around 18 months ago I asked in these pages, why
had nobody done a version of the classic Mk1 and
MKII Jag saloons? Well, my prayers have been
answered in stunning fashion by Margate!
46 WRC PUMAS
In a year that saw not one, but two different
company’s release models of the Puma Rally car, we
look at the new offering from Scalextric and compare
it to the version already out there from SCX.
