Sole surviving North Eastern Railway ‘J27’ No. 65894 has returned to steam for the first time since 2006, following the completion of a successful steam test on May 14. Later that day, the Wilson Worsdell-designed 0-6-0 put the first miles under its wheels since the completion of its overhaul with a short run from
Grosmont to Goathland.
