AIR TO THE THRONE
iPhone Air
The thinnest iPhone ever has a lot more going for it

S lim smartphones are back after years of designs that accepted a bit of chonk as a trade-off for better cameras and longer-lasting batteries. Samsung has been doing great things with its Galaxy Edge range, but now Apple has hit back with a phone a few tenths of a millimetre slimmer.
It comes with a gorgeous titanium frame, and is significantly lighter than other, thicker iPhones. It’s a delight on the design front, but this does come at a cost: you won’t want to put a case on it. Indeed, slipping it into rubbery protection kind of ruins its look.
The glass rear panel is soft and smooth and it feels lovely in the hand, while features like the Action Button and Camera Control button are both on board despite the thin frame. It only uses eSIMs, and compromises have been made to cram everything we expect from a modern smartphone into such a slim frame.
