FLEXIBLE DISPLAYS
LG has finally revealed the product we were promised would be the TV of the future 25 years ago: a rollable OLED TV. Yes, at the moment it costs £100K and weighs a ton (or 64kg to be accurate, but the point remains), but this is assuredly how domestic video displays are going to develop. By 2046 we’ll be able to unpin our TV from the wall, roll it up like wallpaper and take it wherever we like. Actual, genuine portable television, in other words.
