When The Great Wall Kickstarted back in 2019, publisher Awaken Realms promised a “fresh take on Euro/worker-placement board games”. Now that it’s finally on our table – filling up most of the available surface with its prodigious board, serried ranks of finely detailed miniatures and impressive cardboard 3D wall sections – we’re happy to confirm they’ve made good on that promise, bringing something new to a well-worn genre.
