For those who have graduated from Pictionary, there is Telestrations. Already a solid classic in my eyes, I was surprised to see it has only been around since 2009. Everyone has a pad with a series of pages asking them to draw a picture from a word prompt or write the next word based on the picture they can see. The pads get passed around the table and, like in the telephone game, the meaning of everything gets lost as it’s flipped from word to drawing round the group, misinterpreted at every stage. The reveal allows each player to take you through where they started and the madness that ensued. Or, on rare occasions, how well you communicated.
