How did you capture the feel of this franchise?
Whenever we start work on a licensed game project, we look to the theme. For us, it’s never a case of designing a game then skinning it with the license – we want the theme to be baked into the gameplay. The first step is identifying the core essence of the property. By that, I mean the things that make it stand out and feel unique. Adapting anything from one medium to another will always involve reinterpretation, but if you can identify that core essence and make sure that it carries over, you can change a lot of other things and it will still feel familiar.
