ENGLAND LAY DOWN A MARK AS STONEMAN EARNS CALL-UP
The uncapped pair of Mark Stoneman and Mason Crane have been called up for England’s opening Test against the West Indies at Edgbaston next week. Stoneman is set for his international debut when the first day-night Test match in the UK starts on Thursday, with the Surrey opener finally getting his opportunity after the selectors lost patience with Keaton Jennings. It was expected that Jennings would retain his place despite a horrendous series against South Africa, during which he scored just one hundred and twenty seven runs at 15.87.
